(1927- ) is the American bestselling author of Heal Your Body and You

Much of Hay's writing focuses on the metaphysics of the human mind and body,
particularly the relationship between "dis-ease" in the mind and disease in the
body. She also extends this concept to incidents (usually negative) that occur
in everyday life.
Her two most well known books Heal Your Body and You Can Heal Your Life directly
associate physical problems such as cancer with specific negative emotional
patterns, and make the controversial claim that healing the emotional components
will also heal the physical conditions.
Hay also teaches about such overcoming fear and taking responsibility for your
own life, as well as adjusting to its inevitable ups and downs.
Louise Hay is recognized as a prominent figure in the New Thought movement, with
her company Hay House publishing many New Thought and holistic health-themed
books and other media. She is the primary publisher of audio books by Deepak
Chopra and Doreen Virtue, as well as all books by Wayne Dyer.
